JB200 Blue Octopus
Jacques Bianchi Marseille revisits its legendary JB200 military dive watch
Powered by a Swiss automatic movement, the JB200 POULPRO features an octopus on its dial instead of the historical diver from the first models launched in 2021, which were hugely successful. This new version – available in "cuttlefish ink" black and "Mediterranean" blue – pays tribute to one of the most enigmatic and intelligent marine creatures. An animal of raw beauty that has always been part of Marseille's cultural, maritime, and gastronomic history.
A collection of watches 100% Jacques Bianchi Marseille
A tribute to its ancestor, which was supplied to the French Navy in the 1980s, the new JB200 retains the attributes that shaped its personality: a left-hand crown, 200-meter water resistance, a 42 mm diameter case, and an unbeatable "tool watch" look.
Continuous innovation
The JB200 POULPRO is powered by a Swiss automatic mechanical movement (Soprod P024) offering a 38-hour power reserve and enhanced chronometry. The thickness of its case, whose architecture and geometry evoke 80s dive watches, has been slightly refined to accommodate the new caliber.
Captivating the imagination
The octopus, like its distant cephalopod cousins such as the cuttlefish and squid, has long captivated the imagination of artists, writers, and filmmakers; and not just in Marseille. From ancient mythological tales to the epics of great adventure stories, this marine creature, which can change color in a tenth of a second or squeeze into tiny rock crevices, has inspired countless artistic and literary works throughout the centuries.

Super-Luminova®: Legacy Illuminates the JB200
Since our beginnings, visibility has been one of Jacques Bianchi Marseille's signatures. The JB300 transcends darkness to offer unparalleled readability, thanks to the meticulous application of Super-LumiNova® on the "Maxi Dial" indices and hands. This luminescent coating ensures perfect clarity, even in abyssal depths, guaranteeing optimal readability.
The clean, functional matte black dial minimizes reflections, while the light emitted by the luminescent elements guides each dive with precision. A true alliance of technical performance and refined aesthetics, making the JB300 an exceptional watch, designed to illuminate your underwater exploration.
A marine animal that rewrites Marseille's history of the JB200
Over time, the giant octopus has become a subject of inquiry for scientists worldwide, fueling the collective imagination surrounding this enigmatic creature, half-real, half-dreamt.
Beyond its marine symbolism, the octopus is also present in Marseilles' art, culture, fashion, and gastronomy. It can also be found depicted in contemporary artworks, sculptures, and murals that adorn the city's streets. In Old Provençal, an octopus was called a "póulpro" before being named "póurpre" due to Spanish and Italian linguistic influences.
